3D Platformer Game Development with Unity
3rd to 5th
Unity is one of the world’s most powerful tools for creating video games—and yes, even students in grades 3 to 5 can start building their very own 3D platformer games with it!
In this beginner-friendly course, young learners are introduced to the basics of 3D game development using Unity’s visual tools and simplified scripting. A platformer game is a type of game where players move a character through levels, jumping over obstacles, collecting items, and reaching goals—just like in games such as Super Mario or Sonic.
Students will:
Design 3D characters, levels, and environments
Use drag-and-drop tools to control movement, collisions, and animations
Learn simple coding concepts using C# through guided, kid-friendly instructions
Understand how games are structured and how interactive worlds are built
Even though Unity is a professional game engine, this course is specially designed to make it fun, visual, and easy to understand for younger students. By creating their own 3D platformer, they’ll develop skills in creativity, logic, storytelling, and technology—all while having a blast.
